Home Building Buyers - Having problems. We invite you to post your building problems, builders problems here. Were you charged extra building costs after signing with a builder? Paid a deposit to a builder and then charged extra costs after paying the builders deposit? Builders or their salespeople gave you the provisional sum item costs but those items increased in dollars or changed from the original agreement when you were given the building contract to sign? Signed with a builder and paid a deposit and then made changes at the pre start colour interview and were charged costs you believe were very high? Assumed it was OK to sign with a builder and paid their money deposit and then made all your changes and amendments after some 8 weeks later when you were at their office adding all your amendments and feel like you were charged more at the meeting because you had already paid them a deposit some many weeks earlier. Your Home Buyers Guide was the best money i spent to date while looking to build a new home. After reading, i used the knowledge and finally saw for the same size home you can if you dont have the knowledge of this books contents pay well over $100,000 on a double storey home. You dont want to buy this book after sigining with a builder as you may get very upset with how much you just paid. I have built before and thought i knew it all - after reading i knew only 30% out of 100%. No wonder home buyers have problems.
